beauty bargains

My favourite beauty buys under £12.

Distilled Witch Hazel – £2.05

Witch Hazel is honestly a god send. I started using it after I just got fed up with the red, uneven skin I always end up with on my legs after shaving. So I thought I’d try Witch Hazel – as I’ve heard good things about it because it contains anti-inflammatory properties – and that was the best idea I’ve ever had.

Using a cotton pad I dab it onto the areas of my leg that are normally the worst affected and that normally does the trick.

Aveeno Skin Relief Nourishing Lotion – £7.99

I suffer from eczema on my eyelids and it’s not pleasant; it used to leave my eyes feeling extremely sore, uncomfortable and an unsightly shade of red. I’ve tried so many products – ranging from Simple to Epaderm  but they all either didn’t work or irritated my skin even more (*cough* Simple *cough*). The worst part of it was that if I ever put makeup on top of it, it would go all blotchy and in turn irritate my skin.

That was before I came across Aveeno; now my eyelids are clear of the uncomfortable dryness and ugly redness.

Sukin Oil Balancing + Charcoal Anti Pollution Facial Masque – £11.95

I’ve always been super intrigued with the idea of charcoal masks but never been brave enough to try one out because they always look so painful, but I decided that it was about time I gave them a shot. I went into Boots with the plan of getting one of those ones that you peel off but when I couldn’t find one I decided to try out Sukin; I’ve only ever heard good things about the company so I gave it a go.FullSizeRender (4).jpg

What I love the most about this company is that it’s 100% cruelty free and all the ingredients are natural and vegan. Plus the packaging is recyclable which makes it an eco brand.

e.l.f. Matte Magic Mist & Set – £5

End of the day
Start of the day

This setting spray is the stuff of dreams.

I can go for a full day – including an eight hour shift – without having to top up my makeup once. It’s honestly magic.

It’s also only £5. WHAT!!!!!??? Or £4.50 if you use Superdrug’s student discount. It can not get any better than that.

Nails Inc Duchess Walk Nailkale – £7

Kale isn’t just for eating.

I can never seem to make a nail polish more than a day and it normally ends up chipped after about five minutes so I normally just don’t bother putting any on anymore.

But I got this nail polish as a freebie with my Birchbox so I decided to give it a go and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It’s lasted way more than a day and as an added bonus the kale extract strengthens your nails (which I need considering I literally open boxes for a living and it’s a nightmare for my nails).

Also Duchess Walk is the cutest little peach colour.

That’s my beauty bargains for this week. Thanks for reading.
